GERIATRIC EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Dr. Rosa McNamara
Dr. McNamara is a consultant in Emergency Medicine with special interests in Geriatric Emergency Medicine and Medical Education. She has worked in the United Kingdom and in Ireland developing clinical and educational pathways for unscheduled care of Older Adults with a focus on integration and inter-professional working. She is also a member of EUSEM involved in the section of Geriatric Emergency Medicine and the Emergency Medicine Examination Reference Group for Europe (EMERGE) and is the current chair of the Geriatric Emergency Medicine Special Interest Group of IFEM . She works at St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland and is an Associate Clinical Professor at University College Dublin.

RESUSCITATION, TRAUMA, AND CRITICAL CARE
Dr. Andrew Petrosoniak
Dr. Petrosoniak is an emergency physician and trauma team leader at St. Michael's Hospital. He’s an assistant professor at the University of Toronto and an associate scientist at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute. His research work focuses on using in situ simulation to improve patient safety and optimizing skill acquisition of rarely performed procedures. He's also co-principal of Advanced Performance Healthcare Design, a design and consulting firm that uses multi-modal simulation techniques to inform the design of clinical infrastructure, equipment and high performing teams.

Dr. Nemeth completed his training in the US and Europe in Emergency Medicine. He has been at the McGill University Health Center since 2001. He divides his time between paediatric and adult EM and trauma. He is also the Fellowship director for the TTL and General EM fellowships.

Dr. Daniel Kim
Dr. Kim is a Clinical Associate Professor and the Point of Care Ultrasound Fellowship Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He practices emergency medicine at Vancouver General Hospital. He is currently the Chair of the CAEP Emergency Ultrasound Committee. His interests include point of care ultrasound, medical education, and strategies to make emergency medicine easier.

Dr. Lucas Chartier
Dr. Chartier is an emergency physician at the University Health Network (UHN), in Toronto. He was the emergency department’s founding Director of Quality & Innovation, and he now serves as UHN's Vice President of Quality & Safety and Chief Patient Safety Officer. He is also the Clinical Regional Lead for Emergency Medicine for Ontario Health Toronto. With training at McGill (MD CM), Harvard University (MPH) and the University of Toronto (FRCPC and MBA), his work primarily focuses on building capacity for Q&S in the Canadian healthcare system.

Dr. David Carr
Dr. Carr is an Professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is an Emergency Physician and Clinical Investigator at the University Health Network and Mackenzie Health Hospital. He is also the Continuing Professional Development Lead in the Tri-Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto. He has been the recipients of multiple Undergraduate and Post Graduate Clinical Teaching awards. During the Baseball season, he works at the Roger's Centre as the Medical director of Stadium Medicine for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2010, he pursued his passions serving as an ER physician in the Athletes Village for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Since 2010, He has co- authored the chapter on Occlusive Arterial Disease in the 7-9th editions of Tintinalli's Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Paul Atkinson
Dr. Atkinson is a Professor in Emergency Medicine at Dalhousie University, based at Horizon Health Network, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. He is also deputy editor of the Canadian Journal of Emergency Medicine; and Assistant Dean, Research at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick. He is the immediate past Department Head for EM in Saint John, and also past chair of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians research committee, as well as the NB Trauma Program research sub-committee. His international training began at the Queen’s University of Belfast, followed by postgraduate programs in internal medicine in Belfast and emergency medicine in Cambridge, UK. He completed a fellowship at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He relocated to Saint John, NB from Cambridge in late 2009.

DISASTER EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Dr. Daniel Kollek
Dr. Kollek is an award winning Emergency Physician, an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Section of Emergency Medicine at McMaster University, Chair of the CAEP disaster committee and past Director of the Centre for Excellence in Emergency Preparedness. He also has served as Emergency Department Chief and Program Director in both Hamilton & Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Prior to his career in Medicine he was a combat officer in the Israeli Defence Forces and now he dabbles in script writing and improvisational theatre.

INTERNATIONAL & GLOBAL EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Dr. Amanda Collier
Dr. Collier is an EM physician at Queen’s University and University of Ottawa. She was the inaugural fellow in the Queen’s Global EM fellowship, and is the current chair of the CAEP Global EM committee. Her primary interests are EM education in LMICs and humanitarian response.

PLANETARY HEALTH IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Dr. Courtney Howard
Dr. Howard is an Emergency physician in Yellowknife, a Clinical Associate Professor, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, and the past-president of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment. She researches the health impacts of wildfires, and is on the editorial advisory boards of the Lancet Planetary Health and the Journal of Climate Change and Health. She has done policy work for the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change and CODA Change (from the creators of SMACC), and is the Co-Chair of advocacy for the World Health Organization Civil Society Working Group on Climate Change and Health.

Dr. Rod Lim
Dr. Lim is an Professor at the Dept of Pediatrics & Medicine/Division of Emergency Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University in London Ontario. He is past chair of the Leadership committee and the Wellness committee, and could not be more thrilled to be involved with a diverse group of passionate, capable and dynamic individuals in the wellness and leadership community. His main job is to worry endlessly about his 3 children, very large dog and a princess puppy, and hopes to have more world adventures with this family.

Dr. Kendall Ho
Dr. Ho is an emergency medicine specialist and Professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Faculty of Medicine. He leads the Digital Emergency Medicine Unit, is a Medical Director for BC Ministry of Health HealthLinkBC 811, and chairs the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP) Digital Emergency Medicine Committee, he’s at the forefront of integrating digital innovations into healthcare. Dr. Ho spearheads groundbreaking and award winning research in virtual care, wearables, AI, and multicultural health literacy. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.

PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Dr. Samina Ali
Dr. Ali is a pediatric emergency physician at the Stollery Children’s Hospital (Edmonton, Alberta) and a Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of Alberta. Dr. Ali is a national award-winning researcher, mentor, and educator. Her research program concerns better treatment of children in the emergency department, with a focus on responsible prescribing of opioid analgesia and the management of medical procedure-related pain; she holds national funding for studies informing best care for children with acute injury and illness.

RURAL EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Dr. Richard Fleet
Dr. Fleet is a professor and researcher at Université Laval with a focus on rural emergency medicine, healthcare innovation, and physician wellness. He co-founded the Living Lab Charlevoix, Canada’s first rural hospital-based living lab, which fosters collaboration among citizens, decision-makers, and healthcare professionals to address challenges in rural healthcare. With over 15 years of research experience, Dr. Fleet has explored disparities in rural emergency care and worked on developing innovative, practical solutions. He is also involved in mentoring future healthcare leaders through initiatives like the Living Lab’s Leadership and Innovation Rotation.

Dr. Tim Baker
Associate Professor Tim Baker is an Emergency Physician based on the southern Australian coast, working in both regional and rural emergency departments. He is the inaugural Director of Deakin University’s Centre for Rural Emergency Medicine and has led the centre since 2008. Tim is passionate about enhancing care delivery in rural emergency departments and is widely published in this area. He has chaired the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine’s Emergency Medicine Certificate and Diploma program and currently leads the National Program Steering Committee for Australia’s Emergency Medicine Education and Training Program. His work focuses on advancing rural emergency care worldwide.

Dr. Veronique Castonguay
Dr. Veronique Castonguary completed a master's degree in health sciences education and graduated as a specialist in emergency medicine from Université de Montréal. Works as an emergency physician and trauma team leader at Hôpital Sacré-Coeur de Montréal. Holds the positions of Program Director of the Specialized Emergency Medicine Program and Assistant Director of the Centre de Pédagogie Appliquée des Sciences de la Santé at Université de Montréal.

Dr. Marcel Emond

Dr. Eli Segal
Dr. Eli Segal is an emergency physician at the Jewish General Hospital and Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at McGill University. He has been involved in EMS for over 25 years, first on the road providing direct patient care and then in research and administrative roles. His is passionate about improving the care of the prehospital patient, with a focus on time-sensitive and high-acuity conditions.

RESEARCH IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Dr. Kerstin de Wit
Dr. Kerstin de Wit trained in internal medicine, emergency medicine and research in the UK. She completed a Thrombosis Fellowship in Ottawa in 2013. Since then, she has worked in both emergency medicine and thrombosis. She leads a research program which focuses on the diagnosis of bleeding and clotting disorders in the emergency department, and is funded by CIHR and PSI.

Dr. Alix Carter
Dr Carter is the Medical Director of Research at EHS Nova Scotia and Director, Division of EMS at Dalhousie University. Her research interests revolve around exploring models of delivery to improve emergency health services from the perspective of provider, patient and system. Her primary program of research is around design, implementation, and evaluation of the Paramedics and Palliative Care program. She loves her family and the great outdoors, at the same time if possible.
